Inventio vs. Imitatio was always the decisive aspect in developing the gallery’s program. Since 1992, when the first VOGES GALLERY was founded it was the search for what was new and surprising to the eye in any media that impelled forward and lead to the present results.
The main focus was on the promotion and long-term collaboration with artists of the own generation and an especially close link to the local Staedel Art School resulted in lasting cooperation with artists such as Winter/Hoerbelt, Martin Liebscher, Manfred Peckl, Rainer Neumeier or most recently Adrian Williams, who all are now operating on a broad international platform. In the last few years new collaborations with Betsabeé Romero (MEX), Felix Gmelin (S), Suzannah Sinclair, Monique van Genderen (USA) the Center for Tactical Magic (USA) or Johan Grimonprez (B) are taking the gallery profile to another international level, while participation at art fairs like ARCO, FIAC, The ARMORY, MACO, art forum and the VOLTAshow in Basel and NY are adding to that enduring quest.

In 2009 VOGES GALLERY moved to a stunning new location at the prominent Museum River Bank in Frankfurt. Here the gallery is again dedicated to showcase international and German contemporary artists as well as organizing Film, Book and Music Events.

Inventio vs. Imitatio war und ist der entscheidende Aspekt in der Formierung des Galerieprogramms. Seit der Gründung im Jahr 1992 war es stets die Suche nach dem noch nicht gesehenen Bild, der Überraschung für das Auge die prägend war für die Ausstellungskonzeptionen. Ein Schwerpunkt liegt dabei auf der Förderung von Absolventen der renommierten Städelschule, was u.a. zu der langjährigen Zusammenarbeit mit Künstlern wie Martin Liebscher, Winter/Hörbelt, Manfred Peckl, Rainer Neumeier oder jüngst auch Adrian Williams führte, die alle mittlerweile auf einer internationalen Platformen operieren. In den letzten Jahren kamen dazu Kollaborationen mit Künstlern wie Betsabeé Romero (MEX), Felix Gmelin (S), Suzannah Sinclair und Monique van Genderen, Center for Tactical Magic (alle USA) sowie Johan Grimonprez (B), die neben den Galerieausstellungen auch auf den grossen Messen im In und Ausland (ARCO, FIAC, MACO, The Armory Show und natürlich VOLTA NY und VOLTA Basel) gezeigt wurden.

Im Jahr 2009 bezog VOGES GALLERY spektakuläre neue Räume am Frankfurter Museums Ufer, wo das Galerieprogramm neben Buch, Musik und Filmveranstaltungen kontinuierlich weitergeführt wird.
